PrintZero Studios is an organization created in 2003 by Brian Lane and Jeremy Cody. Initially a small print exchange among friends, PrintZero has continued to grow and evolve. With many growing pains we are constantly trying to promote the art of printmaking in any way we can.
The PrintZero Studios Print Exchange features the work of artists of all ability levels and has been exhibited nationally and internationally. We have held exhibitions of our exchanges in Seattle WA, Portland OR, Miami FL, Homer AK, Laramie WY, Buffalo NY, Madison WI, and Naestved, Denmark.
In the spirit of promoting the art of printmaking Brian has been hosting exhibitions in the Seattle area for the past 2 years. He recently procured a studio space in Seattle’s Georgetown neighborhood giving PrintZero a working environment.
Jeremy recently received his MFA in printmaking from Ohio University. In addition, he is working on a catalog of Contemporary printmaking tentatively titled 50/50, featuring the work of 50 past participants of the PrintZero exchange. He has assembled an excellent team consisting of:- Cara Forrler Contemporary Curator of Prints at the Davidson Gallery in Seattle who is writing the introduction
- Danielle Wyckoff is our editor
- Laura Biel on Catalog Design
- Diane Call creator of the new PrintZero identity.
PrintZero Studios will continue reinventing itself and finding new ways to continue its goal of educating the masses about printmaking.
